AMERICAN AKITA COMPANION PLACEMENT GUIDELINES
We operate as a dedicated preservation program, not a commercial marketplace or a pet store. Our primary responsibility is ensuring that our home-raised American Akita puppies are placed with responsible, prepared handlers who understand the lifelong commitment required by this majestic guardian breed. We do not support online shopping carts, instant digital checkouts, or unvetted commercial distributions. Every potential companion alignment follows a strict, multi-step screening process designed to evaluate household infrastructure and family dynamic compatibility.
APPLICATION INTAKE
Complete our mandatory 15-question household intake form below. This baseline evaluation allows us to understand your physical property security, yard fencing infrastructure, family schedule variables, and history with large working breeds.
VIRTUAL CONSULTATION
Approved applicants will schedule a mandatory video consultation. This step allows us to connect directly, discuss breed-specific ownership responsibilities, verify property parameters, and answer your questions regarding our lines’ pedigree history.
TEMPERAMENT ALIGNMENT
We do not allow random puppy selection based on visual coat colors or markings. At 7 weeks of age, all puppies complete official Volhard temperament evaluations. We align individual puppy energy levels and nerve thresholds with the specific lifestyle habits of your household.
What are the costs associated with companion placement?
To maintain complete operational transparency, our program does not utilize variable commercial price points or promotional checkouts. A uniform preservation cost recovery fee of $850 applies equally to all companion alignments. This fee does not represent a retail purchase price for a live animal; instead, it strictly offsets the programmatic expenses required to sustain our bloodlines. This includes advanced multi-generational parental health panel diagnostics, certified OFA orthopedic imaging, comprehensive DNA sequencing profiles, microchipping documentation, and specialized early neurological stimulation (ENS) protocols administered during early development. All downstream logistics, including specialized transport setups or veterinary export clearances, are coordinated separately on an individual basis.
